What is beautiful?

Pleasing the senses or mind aesthetically. Holding the attributes of kindness, respect, confidence, generosity, and positivity. Being both humble and kind.

As the day begins to stretch it's arms high and the sun prepares to make it's grand entrance, let's give praise to the one that made this brand new day!

Landing on a controversial question for some this morning.

What is beautiful?

I'm certain we could ask this question to different people and get many different answers and also many of the same. Typically at first thought, we may lean towards the outer adornments. This morning, I was going a bit deeper. I know we've all heard the saying beauty is in the eye of the beholder. That statement alone takes beautiful to an entirely different level. Beautiful can be many different things but yet simplistic for the most part. I've found over time being beautiful isn't forced. It's something that just springs forth like the wild flowers in the spring. Beauty can be found in brokenness. In those shattered moments when all the layers are pealed back and there is no facade. God can turn ashes into something beautiful. Champions, I encourage you today to find the beautiful! Look past perfection and the outside layers. Have eyes that look inward and a soul open to connect with what God determines as beautiful. There is so much ugly in this world, maybe it's time we acknowledged a new kind of beautiful? Have a beautiful kind of day!

Do not let your adorning be external—the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear— but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight is very precious.

1 Peter 3: 3-4
