Morning Champions. May today be a day of self reflection inward and just maybe taking a moment to look past that outward appearance.
I was listening to the radio yesterday and during a brief commercial there was a piece on mirrors and to make a long story short...the way we pay so much attention to the smoke and mirrors, that just might not be the actual person. You see, the lady speaking talked about how too often social media and the world dictates to us what beauty looks like. How we should look, dress, weigh. Oh, you can get caught up very quickly in what perfect looks like from the outside if you're not careful. I thought about what she was saying and just how much truth was tied into that couple of minutes on the radio. Here's the real truth, Hod cares about the heart and what goes on in the inside. I've come to realize, when that is right in a person, their inner beauty shines through and there isn't a mirror made that can capture what God has created in that person. So, yes...we are to take care of our temples for sure. However, let's extend ourselves a little grace for what this world says is beautiful and embrace our uniqueness that God gave to each one of us. You and I my friends, were fearfully and wonderfully made! That's a pretty big deal!
