Hello Champions. It's certainly been a while since we have connected. I sure have missed you. I wanted to share a new friend I met Saturday. His name was Robert. Robert had lost his brother Saturday morning and our paths crossed Saturday afternoon. My husband, daughter, and I were volunteering at her school and were blessed so much when Robert crossed our path. Robert was upset and it was evident. I approached Robert and asked if he was ok? He shared he had lost his brother that morning. I asked if I could pray with him? He said yes, I prayed with him. After praying, I noticed he had a tattoo of a lighthouse on his leg. I asked why? He shared some health struggles that had led to the tattoo of the lighthouse. His story touched me so. You see, I have always had a love for lighthouses. Something about a light in the darkness, a beacon of hope! Honestly, I think we all could learn a little from a lighthouse. Oh the lessons are endless...guidance in times of turmoil, strength, perseverance. I believe God sent Robert to me on Saturday afternoon to rekindle exactly what I needed within myself at that moment in time. My prayer is that many Roberts cross my path and that God will use me, if just for a moment to be that lighthouse for someone who needs a light in the darkness.
Send me your light and your faithful care, let them lead me; let them bring me to your holy mountain. To the place where you dwell.
