Removing the Mask

A cover or partial cover used for the face to disguise.

Happiest of Mondays Champions! July says good morning and June has went to peaceful slumber. Today is brand new with endless opportunities. A great day to be all we were created to be! So let's get to it!

The Mask...

This just might require some honest soul searching this morning. In a time where we are so social media driven, where we live to compare or compete, the mask becomes our way of survival to a certain degree. As always, if this isn't one of your challenges God bless you. But if it is here we go.

Putting on the mask to make others believe that things are different in our personal world than they actually are. This directly comes back to fear and insecurities. We feel and or believe that deep down inside someone is judging us. Why do we, I'm including myself here, care so much about what others think, but too often ignore what God knows! You see, He doesn't have to think He knows. The mascarade begins, Champions, the only one we are really fooling is ourselves. Dig deep, what are you hiding behind this morning? I asked myself the same question. True freedom comes when we lay down the mask! When we seek God's face and receive the love He freely gives! When we abandon the status quo and make a decision to be different in a world that has so many of us living behind a different mask each day. Here's the thing, the things we attempt to cover or disguise are still there underneath holding us back if we don't address them. Fear, doubt, insecurities, low self esteem, resentment, envy, hatred, lust, greed etc. The list goes on. News flash...You and me were created in the image of Almighty God! It is time to stand up and drop what ever mask that is holding us in bondage and give it to the one who created us in His image to be effective in this world for Him! To remove self and focus on the big picture! Champions our life is but a vapor, tomorrow isn't promised let's join together and drop the masks!

We refuse to wear masks and play games. We don't maneuver and manipulate behind the scenes. And we don't twist God's word to suit ourselves. Rather, we keep everything we do and say out in the open, the whole truth on display, so that those who want to can see and judge for themselves in the presence of God.
