Refrain from speaking

To make a conscious decision to close ones mouth in certain situations and or circumstances.

Most abundant blessings to you Champions for an absolutely magnificent Tuesday!

So this morning we will just take the plunge and dive into the deep end!

To refrain from speaking is the more polite way of saying, "hush your mouth!" Stay with me. I have come to realize that sometimes a lot can be said in silence. When our mouths are closed our ears have a tendency to be more open to listen and receive what God is revealing to us. Some of my best reflections are during my quiet time.

Champions, permission to just go there for a moment?... there is some words that are just better left unsaid. Gossiping, tearing another down instead of building them up, being rude, arrogant, and oh yes, having to have that last word! If you can't say ouch, just say amen! I know I said ouch this morning concerning this topic several times during my self examination.

Stop and think for a moment, once words are said, you can not take them back. The tongue can do a tremendous amount of damage. Will you join me today in walking in a new level of maturity and it just might require us to (no disrespect) keep our mouths shut. Let's make a conscious effort to think before we speak and to be perfectly ok with being silent in situations that do not build up but tear down.

Here's a little nugget, when we speak, regardless as to whom we think has heard us or not. God hears it all. Walk in maturity today with your words and grow!

Sin is not ended by multiplying words, but the prudent hold their tongues.
