Preoccupied...

Engrossed in thought, distracted.

Before the sun comes up this morning, I will pause and magnify your name. I will put aside all distractions and connect with my Creator! Champions, I did just that...and pray you will as well.

Too often before our day even gets started, the distractions come in like a tidal wave. Our minds are so busy that we can miss what's right there in front of us, if we're not careful. Over thinking is a close cousin to distraction. When we are all up in our heads, we can miss the joy, peace, purpose, and blessings that God provides. I read a quote this morning during my quiet time that hit me to my very core. It went something like this...

You are spending so much time staring out the window, when all you need to do is open the door.

Take a moment and let that sink in. When we open the door we are stepping out in faith and receiving what is meant for us. We are not meant to sit on the sidelines in a state of preoccupation. Preoccupation is close to paralysis. Champions, I encourage you to be ever present. Don't miss one more second of your journey, of your story by camping out in preoccupation. Today is a great day to get in the game. Open the door!

Let me hear of your unfailing love each morning, for I am trusting you. Show me where to walk, for I give myself to you.

Psalm 143:8
