Landing on imperfections this morning. If you are like me...we can either say amen or ouch! Imperfections are part of life. Let's face it, there was only one that was perfect. Daily choices...we make them. Some are good, some not so much. This leads to imperfect actions. Yes Champions, we are fallible. I would be remiss not to mention in addition to our imperfect actions...looking at our outer appearance, we are our own worst critics. Too often, we look for the flaws. Interestingly enough, if we were perfect, we wouldn't need a Savior. Lean in...our image was made in God's image. So that reflection looking back at you in the mirror, it's a masterpiece. Yes, we are all a work in progress on our behaviors and daily best practices that we demonstrate. However, don't beat yourself up. God looks at the heart and there is nothing that he is oblivious to. He turns brokenness into beauty. I like to think about it like this, sometimes things get cracks in them over time, but just maybe those cracks are meant to allow more light to shine through. You're pretty special! Never forget that.
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God.
