The continuous act of seeking perfection, as your life simply passes you by.
Hello Champions. I pray your day has been blessed.
I thought I would take a moment this evening and share some of my thoughts of late.
I suppose I have the weeds in my flower beds to thank for tonight's entry.
Stay with me...
Have you ever made a comment such as?
It will get better when...
The baby starts school.
I get that promotion at work.
I loose 20 lbs.
I pay off that debt.
The kids are grown.
We go on vacation.
And on and on and on.
Keeping it so real, I have made comments like these. Interestingly enough, once I got through one of the> it will get better whens, there was always a new one waiting for me. Can you relate?
So back to the simplicity of the weeds. I have learned that some of my best life moments have been when I got down in the weeds. Yes, you heard me correctly. Those moments where perfect didn't exist but being totally present did. Enjoying the simple every day things, called my life.
We are on planet earth but for a moment and we are always consumed with the>> it will get better whens.
How about we camp out in the weeds for a while? We embrace the now? I am certainly a work in progress. However, I am slowly learning that it isn't about measuring the number of breaths I take, but to embrace the moments that take my breath away.
I challenge you to let your when be now Champions, and to find the extraordinary in the weeds. You will be oh so glad you did.
Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all things through him who strengthens me.
