Permission to have complete freedom from doing something.
This morning has broken and spilled out. May God's grace and goodness abound today Champions!
Standing at the window this morning and looking out at what remains from the winter storm that just passed through, I sigh. January is a month that can be a bit hard to handle. When you add all the current events of this world on top of the month it can become very heavy. By God's grace, he will provide the strength needed for today. For that I am grateful. Permission to share? I thought for a moment this morning, how awesome it would be to have a free pass for today. A day of zero responsibilities. A day to unwind, no thinking, no commitments. A free pass Friday! I suppose it would be self satisfying for a bit.
Then I thought how of how blessed I am. I thought about my Savior and how he provided me with a freedom beyond comprehension. Yes, bought with a price. As I regained my focus, I knew that today would be a day that I extended grace to others. Maybe we don't need a free pass Friday? We just need to rely on God to get us through. So, yep there's work to be done today and I am thankful to God for this beautiful day he has provided. I don't want to miss a thing. Time to put those big girl pants on!
