Waking thankful and gratefully blessed. Not because my life is perfect and lacking problems, but because it isn't perfect and problems surface every day. I'm sure that one left you scratching your head. Here's the thing. Without problems, speedbumps, opportunities, there wouldn't be growth. The growth doesn't come from the obstacle but the way we overcome the obstacle. So how does that relate to this morning's topic? Too often we are so consumed with how others are living, what their life looks like from the outside that we totally skip over all the amazing things that are right at our fingertips. Those amazing things called "our own life." You know I love quotes. Here's one for you, not sure of the author...
Don't stare at someone else's plate and allow your food to get cold!
Wowsers! There is a lesson in that quote for sure. Envy is a time wasting, joy stealer that will eat away at you like a cancer.
Best advice I can possibly give today and take for myself...look envy right straight in the face and say " No thanks!" Then keep it moving and live your story! God made you and he makes masterpieces. Let that resonate. What ever comes your way and mine today, God is in control. Be you, do you, and look for the incredible! It's there! Happy Friday!
