Down the drain...

On the way to being lost or wasted, disappearing.

Welcoming the new day with excitement and appreciation for what it will bring.

Thinking this morning about the idiom "down the drain"

I think it's safe to say, we have all watched water go down the drain. As it enters the drain and towards the end you see the tornado like water funnel, then poof it disappears. Possibly, you have used the term down the drain when referring to something that didn't turn out so grand. When you dissect the idiom and break it down, it isn't such a positive saying. Current events in this world just might have you thinking that things are going down the drain? Champions, I'm here to tell you to look up. God hasn't went anywhere. He is still here and on the move. The living water doesn't disappear. So be of good courage, because Jesus overcame this world...and we know the end of the story.

The only thing going down the drain, is last night's dirty bath water...and that's OK!

Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.

1 Corinthians 15:58
