Choose to be content...

Making a decision to be satisfied.

As the new week begins and Monday says hello, our choices will determine the outcome we achieve and receive today Champions!

Coming off of a pretty amazing weekend for our family...we had one of our grands get baptized this weekend. In addition, my husband had a birthday and we celebrated another trip around the sun with him. The weekend started in our neck of the woods with a soggy Saturday, but we didn't allow that to steal our joy. The rain was a gift from God and very much needed. So our household joined together Saturday morning and knocked out all the inside chores for the week. We cranked up the praise music and got it done. The fruits of our labor resulted in a birthday dinner out, hubby got to pick the restaurant.

Sunday brought beautiful blue skies and temperatures perfect for a lake baptism. I can remember a time when the weather would have had a tremendous influence on just how contented I would be over the plans my finite mind had for my weekend. Putting all the aforementioned things into perspective...God is in control and on the throne. Throughout my life, I have had plenty and also not so much. I have had joy and also experienced sorrow.

I have lived through the valleys and the mountain tops...keeping it real.

I have had 100% success at surviving it all. The proof being, I'm still here living and breathing.

I have to be totally transparent here, I haven't always been content on every situation, every circumstance in my life. There are many days that I am still a work in progress, but I am certainly so much further than I once was.

Contentment is a choice Champions. We may not always like the journey but to level up, requires being content where you are. No secret sauce here, the best advice I can give...stay connected to the Vine! Make a decision each day to allow appreciation to flow over and through your veins.

Yes, contentment is a choice...

regardless of what the nasty now and now brings our way.

Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all things through him who strengthens me.
