Waking up this morning and placing my feet on the floor, I made a decision to be a good listener. I decided that for today I was going to be in the moment when others talked to me.
I say today, because that's all we currently have. I will pick back up with tomorrow when it arrives. The way I see it, today has enough of it's own issues, opportunities, and blessings. So yes, today I choose to listen attentively and seek to understand.
Isn't that really what we are all seeking, to be heard...understood?
I wonder just how many misunderstandings we could prevent by listening to understand, instead of listening to respond? I encourage you to join me today in actively listening. Who knows, we just might learn something.
