A loving touch or embrace

A non verbal language people use to let others know, they are cherished and loved.

Thursday morning blessings for you today Champions! May this Good Friday "Eve" bring a time of remembrance and reflection for each one of us.

Thinking this morning about how so much has changed in just a short period of time. Reflecting on this social distancing initiative " our temporary new normal." I don't know about you, but I miss the hugs from loved ones. I miss the hand shakes when beginning an introduction. I miss patting someone on the back to say good job. I miss the little arms around my neck of my grandchildren. As well as the bigger arms of my children. The sence of touch is something so beautiful but possibly we took it for granted. Funny how we have a tendency not to miss something until it's no longer there. When this current crisis passes, will we be different because of it? Certainly, the first response is absolutely. However, will it be a temporary change or a heart felt down deep in your bones/ my bones, forever change? A simple hug, a simple kiss, an expression of I love you delivered by touch. Champions, it's time we acknowledge and appreciate the little things. The sweet intimate moments, to be present and not get caught up in all the noise around us each day.

It brings me to Jesus and his example. I think of the miraculous healing in his hands. I think of the love he displayed for each one of us on the cross. Forgive them Father for they know not what they are doing. I encourage you today to exhale and then to breath in. To thank God that we were given the sense of touch and to never take for granted those small little nuggets

( a simple hug or kiss) that we exchange with those we love to say, " you are appreciated and loved." The simple things Champions, the simple things.

Have a beautiful day!

You gave me no kiss, but from the time I came in she has not ceased to kiss my feet.

Luke 7:45
