Pain

Physical suffering or discomfort caused by illness, injury or emotions.

What an absolutely gorgeous Sunday morning Champions! May your day bring many opportunities to be a difference maker!

Pain is on the agenda for today. It comes in many forms. It could be an illness. We could have experienced a physical injury that caused it. Or, it could be that deep rooted emotional pain. Non the less, it hurts! From experience I do know if I injure myself, and it results in a bruise, it heals and eventually goes away. If it's a little more traumatic, it may require a doctor's care, stitches, a cast, you get the picture. Sickness, often comes with pain and this type of pain, again, depending on the degree, may require doctor's attention. That brings me to the pain that seems to hit us in the stomach and make our hearts ache and our souls feel crummy. Each one of those pains leave us with a mark or possibly an inward scar that is etched in the very fiber of who we are today. If we're honest, I don't think any one of us wants to experience pain or painful things. However, they happen and will continue to, on this side of heaven. For me, it has been helpful at times almost therapeutic to ask God to show me the lesson in what has caused me the pain. I encourage you today, if you're dealing with something that pains you, on what ever the level, take it to God in prayer.

And he said unto me, my grace is sufficient for the; for my strength is made perfect in weakness, most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore, I take pleasure in infirmities, in persecution, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

2 Corinthians 12: 9-10
